A New Adventure.

So I held a Premier Design Jewelry show at my home and came to the conclusion that being a stay at home mom is right for me. SOO I quit my job and became a stay-at-home mom and jeweler. That's right, I am now selling Premier Design Jewelry! I'm super excited for this and I'm so happy to be back home again with my girls. It's weird that I have to adjust back to being a full time mom. lol. I did it for the last 2 years and I get a job for 2 months and it I have to relearn how to keep my cool so I will be a HAPPY mommy. lol. I think this will be the perfect balance for my family. I get to pick my own hours and get out at night to hang with the girls. =) Please keep me in your prayers as I am training and trying to kick off my new business! I'd appreciate it!

I'm sure I'll be doing some giveaways on here too. Now what woman doesn't want free jewelry?!?

P.S. Mya just put a hole in her balloon and is now crying that "it broke... Baby did it." Baby is taking a nap. LOL. Everyone have a great week!

TA-DA.

WARNING: Today's post is going to be all over... random!

I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July! Mine was great even though I had to work. We had breakfast at my parents where I made breakfast pizza (mmmm) and then after work I rushed over to my in-laws where my family was and watched the fire works with everyone. It was worth the rushing around to get there... Mya was adorable. She oooed and awwwed and gasped. Love her.

On another note, I never let you all know how my 5K went... well, I made it without stopping to walk although some of the time I was running as fast as the walkers. lol. So happy that Marcus did it with me. He stayed by my side the whole time encouraging me and pushing me. Half way through I turned and said to him, "I'm going to die!" He just laughed and told me to "pick it up". lol. I really didn't want to let myself down and I didn't. I'm proud of myself for doing it. I loved every painful moment.

So a funny Mya story... Mya and I had a mommy daughter date the other night (because I messed up on dinner. lol.) and as we were waiting for our food I asked Mya, "How old are you?" "Two," she said. Then I asked her, "What's your name?" She answered loud and proud, "Princess!" I couldn't stop laughing. She is in the stage where she says the funniest things all the time. Let's not forget about Kylie... =) She has two bottom teeth and just started eating baby food. She is in love with her food and wants to feed herself already. She has the cutest smile, you can see her two bottom teeth.

I also just recently had a Premier Designs Jewelry party. It was a lot of fun... getting free jewelry is always fun. right ladies? Anyways, I'm thinking about becoming a consultant. I really love their jewelry and they are an awesome Christian company. If you could all keep me in your prayers about this, I'd appreciate it.

One more random thing... A NEW RECIPE!!! Made Cookie Dough Cupcakes for my jewelry party and they were sooo delicious.

For the cookie dough...

2 sticks of softened butter
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. milk
1tbsp. vanilla
2 c. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. mini chocolate chips

Combine butter and sugars in a mixing bowl and cream on med-high speed until light and fluffy. Beat in milk and vanilla until incorporated and smooth. Beat in the flour and salt until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.

For the cupcakes...

1 box of white or vanilla cake mix {along with ingredients for the mix}

FREEZE THE COOKIE DOUGH

Let cupcake cool a few minutes then core the middle of the cupcake and pipe the cookie dough into the middle. Let them completely cool then frost with vanilla iceing. Add mini chocolate chips to top it off.

Coupon Mountain.

Had such a fun day of couponing. I went to coupon mountain twice today. (We call it coupon mountain because we do not want to give away the location.) It was so much fun though. the kids had a blast sliding down the hill and throwing papers everywhere. After we came home and clipped coupons, my sister and her family came over for the evening. Marie and I decided to use our coupons at Walgreens tonight... she had never couponed before and after tonight she is completely hooked. She got $80 worth of product for $16. And I got $28 worth of product for $4. What a blast today was. I feel blessed.

Life lately.

So I've been gone a lot because I got a job. I work at Walgreens where I can maximize my savings. lol. I'm really enjoying it. The people are nice and it's good for me to get out to of the house. Marcus has been doing such a great job taking care of the girls but I seriously miss being with them 24/7. This weekend I have my first 5K. I'm super stoked and nervous. Marcus will be running it with me so I'll have him to push me. Oh and my cousins Rachel and Jeremy, and my brother-in-law Brandon are going to run the same 5K. I hope I can keep up. Wish me the best. Have an awesome week everyone.

To-do list.

What's on your to-do list?

Amanda's to-do list:

Clean out car.
Get the girl's clothes organized.
Decorate the house.
Organize the basement.

This list has been taunting me for some time now and it's so hard to tackle these things when it's so nice out. I feel taking Mya swimming, going to the playground, couponing, and scrapbooking are better, more fun options. However, I will do these things with a smile on my face. I just can't wait until they're done and no longer holding me back from doing the things I really enjoy doing.

Everyone have a wonderful hump day.

Days go by.

I know I've been so bad at posting lately but I promise it will get better once I get my new computer. Hubby ordered me a new one that was suppose to get here today but we just discovered after waiting 4 days that it's on back order so now we have to wait for the money to return to the account and order a new one. Whew that's a lot of work for a new computer but the one that I'm on now is slow and frustrating so I'll be patient and wait.

I wanted to throw a little reminder out there to anyone wanted to participate in the Orphan Outreach that the due date is coming up so get those bracelets done and mailed in. Have to love giving to a good cause and a fun DIY project. The next project I'm going to be working on is one my friend Janel showed me. This one is The Butterfly Project. Very cool opportunity and it's fun for all ages. If you participate I will do something special for you... I don't know what yet but I'll come up with something good.

So other projects I've been working on are my scrapbooks and decorating picture frames with fabric flowers. The glue gun and I are still trying to figure out our relationship and I would have to say that so far the glue gun hasn't treated me the best but I'm sure it'll work itself out. lol. I got burnt so bad on my knuckle tonight... there's a burn bubble.

Well I'll talk more when the new computer comes. Everyone have a fabulous day and memorial weekend.

A few of my favorite blogs.

There are so many inspiring women out there on the Internet, blogging day after day. What I like most about the blogs that I follow is that I can relate to them. Not only can I relate to their craftiness but I can relate to them being mothers and their love for their families. I just love the things these neat woman come up with so I thought I'd share a few of my favorite blogs.

www.ashleyannphotography.com - This is where I get a lot of DIY projects. LOVE! And she has a cute little girl Mya's age.

www.beckyhiggins.com - The Project Life woman herself. She is so encouraging and full of wonderful ideas.

www.iheartorganizing.blogspot.com - This woman is the queen of organizing. She has tons of brilliant ideas to organize even the smallest things

www.katieorse.typepad.com - Katie has the cutest note books! Just wait... you are going to want one of her designs. They are perfect for everything. If you enjoy journaling she gives awesome journal prompts.

So if you're looking for some motivation for anything... I would recommend taking a peek at these awesome ladies ideas and words of wisdom. (I'm sure a peek will get you hooked so beware.) They can show you how to make your house a home for cheap. It's great! Enjoy.
